Cartoon & colours
We draw the motif at full 1:1 scale and mix the wool colours to the design.

Woven tapestries and wall hangings — wool by wool on a high-warp loom. A picture that isn't printed but woven, and holds its colour and warmth for decades.

A tapestry starts with the cartoon — a full-scale drawing. On the stretched warp I then weave the wool weft row by row, mixing colours like a painter, only with wool instead of brushstrokes. Nothing is printed; every centimetre is made by hand. An honest tapestry of dyed wool holds its colour and shape for generations.
Four registers — from figure to abstraction. All made to measure: size, motif and wool palette. Sample content; add your own tapestries in your version.

Abstract
Cushion & panel

We draw the motif at full 1:1 scale and mix the wool colours to the design.
We tension a firm warp on the loom that will carry the whole tapestry.
We weave the weft row by row, colour by colour, as the picture grows from the bottom up.
We take the tapestry off, finish the edges and fit a hanger for the wall.

I weave alone, on a high-warp loom — not on a machine by the metre. I dye and blend the wool to the design so the tapestry comes alive. An honest wool tapestry holds its colour for decades and can be mended — a worn edge or loop I re-weave. One picture done properly beats ten done in a hurry.
