01 —About the workshop

We don't work with stone because it's beautiful. We work with it because it lasts — when you read it correctly.

Own workshop

Bridge saw, water jet and eight grit sizes under one roof. No intermediate storage, no splitting of the order among three companies.

Stone, not decor

We take the slab from a single block so that the veining continues across corners and baseboards. You will find no foils or imitations here — only what was formed in the earth.

One Stonemason

Focus, cut design and final assembly are guided by the same hand. Vojtěch Halama, a stonemason with a journeyman's certificate from Hořice, handles the project from block to joint.

02 —Working with Stone

Od bloku k desce vede six measured steps.

Each has its tolerance. Where others estimate, we measure — so the slab fits to the millimeter and the joint disappears.

/ 01 — Block

Selection and reading

We turn the block and read the drawing and microcracks before the first cut falls. A stone with a defect does not get here.

/ 02 — Cutting

Bridge saw

A diamond blade cooled by water divides the slab without dust and without stress. Accuracy 0.1 mm across the entire length.

/ 03 — Shape

Water jet

Cutouts for sink, hob and curved edges are cut by a water jet with abrasive — without chipping the edge.

/ 04 — Edge

Profile and bevel

We chamfer, round or grind the edge into a lock according to use. Eight grit sizes, no skipping.

/ 05 — Surface

Polishing and impregnation

From grinding to high gloss or matte brushing. We seal the pores so the stone resists water, oil, and wine.

/ 06 — Installation

Placement on site

We weigh the slab, glue the invisible joint, and level it with a spirit level. We leave only when every corner fits.

03 —Types of stone

Six rocks you will encounter most often in the workshop. Hover over the name and read the drawing.

01 Granite hardness 6–7 Mohs
exterior · slabs

The toughest choice for the kitchen and outdoors. Resists heat, scratches, and frost — for countertops, stairs, and baseboards that last for decades.

02 Marble vein pattern
interior · cladding

A living vein pattern that you will never get the same twice. Softer and more sensitive to acids — suitable for bathrooms, cladding, and representative surfaces.

03 Nero — black marble white vein
accent · slab

Deep black cut by a white vein. A dramatic material for an island, fireplace, or cladding where the stone is meant to be the main feature.

04 Sandstone warm tone
facade · stairs

Local stone from the Podkrkonoší region. Warm, matte, easy to work with — for facades, reveals, stairs, and garden elements with a patina.

05 Light granite fine grain
slab · windowsill

Light, fine-grained finish that brightens up the kitchen and bathroom. Practical durability of granite in a lighter, calmer attire.

06 Travertine & limestone porous pattern
cladding · paving

Earthy, porous structure with Roman history. Ages beautifully — for wall cladding, flooring and surfaces that need to breathe.

Marble quarry in the mountains shrouded in fog

Every slab begins in the mountain.

We select the stone directly at the source — from European quarries, where we know how the block was formed and what to expect from it. Origin is part of quality.

04 —Realizations

A selection of what left the workshop for homes and interiors.
