Shopping basket
With a firm handle, for the market or the woods. Light and unbreakable, it carries its share.
Willow baskets — for shopping, firewood, picnics or décor. A living material, a firm weave, no plastic. A basket that lasts for years of carrying.
Willow, woven by handWillow is cut in winter, soaked and woven alive while it is still supple. Base, walls, rim — each step holds the next. Nothing is glued, nothing screwed. A basket of honest willow survives years of carrying and only turns a beautiful gold with time.
Every basket is woven by hand, made to measure — size, handle and willow colour. Hover an item and the photo changes. Sample content; add your own baskets in your version.

With a firm handle, for the market or the woods. Light and unbreakable, it carries its share.
With a lid and straps, for a trip for two. A fabric liner inside.
Large and sturdy — for the hearth, the laundry or the toys.
A woven bowl or tray for the table, for fruit or bread.
We cut the willow in winter, sort it by thickness and soak it until it is supple.
We weave the base and build the walls rod by rod on a mould, so the basket keeps its shape.
We close the rim, weave in the handle and let the basket dry slowly so it does not crack.

I weave one basket at a time, not hundreds for wholesale. I cut and sort the willow myself, so I know what I'm weaving. An honest willow basket lasts for years and can be mended — I'll replace a worn rim or handle. One done properly beats ten done in a hurry.
