Gates, railings, grilles and hardware that outlive their owners. Handmade in a single workshop — fire, hammer and time.
I don't draw on a computer what will then be laser-cut. Each piece begins in fire. I bend, draw out and forge the material until it holds its shape on its own — no visible welds, no hidden strip steel. Steel has memory; when treated honestly, it lasts generations.
I heat the material until it glows orange. Only hot steel listens to the hammer and carries the detail.
The shape is formed under the hammer and power hammer — drawing out, flattening, twisting the eye and leaf.
Clamps, rivets and forge welds. Joints that hold and remain beautiful.
Brushing, blackening, oil or zinc with primer — depending on where the piece will be placed.
For each order, I come, measure, and propose a solution that fits both the house and the budget. Small jobs can be done within weeks, for large gates allow a season. Below is what most often comes out of the forge.
