Hop Garden
Žatec early red: The Jewel of Czech Brewing

Without this hop variety, there would be no Czech beer as we know it. Why we brew it exclusively from hand-picked cones.
Water from an underground spring. Hops from Žatec. Malt from Haná.
A brewery that brews honestly from the first batch.

“Beer is not a drink. It is proof that earth, water and time have agreed." — Zdeněk Mědvarík, brewer

Year 2009. Zdeněk Mědvarík returned from Bavaria, where he worked for three years at the family brewery Schlenkerla. In his suitcase he brought malt, in his head recipes, and in his heart a firm decision: to restart the brewhouse in his native village in the Vysočina region, which had been idle since 1952.
Today we brew 14 types of beer. Each batch starts with water from a deep well 43 meters below the brewery — soft, clean, "beer" water. We get malt from Sladovna Hana in Prostějov, hops exclusively from Žatec. No concentrates, no shortcuts.

Lager
Light lager, bottom-fermented
Golden, crystal clear. Pure bitterness of Žatec hops, subtle bread maltiness. Flagship beer of the brewery since the first batch.
Lager
Dark lager, bottom-fermented
Velvet darkness with notes of roasted malt, caramel and mild bitterness. Full body, smooth finish. A glass for cold evenings.
Lager
Amber lager
Copper color, aroma of caramel malt and dry hops. Balance of sweet and bitter. A popular middle ground.
IPA / Ale
Czech Hop IPA, top-fermented
Modern IPA based on Žatec hops — citrus and herbal aroma, firm bitterness, fresh fruity finish. Hybrid soul.
IPA / Ale
American Amber Ale
Caramel malt, resinous Cascade and Centennial hops. Rich fruity aroma, pleasant bitterness. Inspired by American craft brewing.
Special
Imperial Stout, bottom-fermented
Full and warming. Chocolate, espresso, dried fruit. A beer for meditation — a 250ml glass is enough. Brewed only 3 times a year, always a limited batch of 400 liters.
Special
Cherry beer, mixed fermentation
Sour base from an old barrel, complemented by cherries from nearby orchards. Fruity, slightly tannic, refreshing. A beer experiment with a positive result.
Seasonal
Hefeweizen, top-fermented
Banana, clove, light acidity. Cloudy, refreshing, with bubbles. Typical Bavarian character from authentic Weihenstephan yeast.
Every Saturday and Sunday we open the doors of the brewhouse to the public. We will guide you from the grist mill to the tap and finish with a tasting straight from the tank.

Excursion for 15 people from our company. Mr. Mědvarík guided us from the grist mill to the tap — two hours flew by like nothing. The finale with a tasting of a dark special straight from the tank? Unforgettable.
Light Mědvarík 11° is probably the best tap beer I have ever drunk in the Czech Republic — and I have been drinking beer for 30 years. A certain, direct taste, no tricks. We go to Nové Veselí every time we are in the Pelhřimov area.
Cherry kvašák got me. I expected a sweet lemonade, I got a complex beer experience. I order a keg home every summer. And the tasting evening for 6 women was fantastic!
Book a tour, order a keg for an event, or simply come and sit at the taproom. We are open.
