Real neon — soda-lime glass bent by hand, pumped, filled with noble gas and set glowing. Not an LED strip pretending.
A neon tube is dead glass until high voltage strikes an arc between its electrodes. The current excites the gas, and the whole length lights at once — neon burns red-orange, argon and mercury glow blue. Scroll, and light the tube.

Straight glass tube heated over a ribbon burner until it softens, then bent to a paper pattern in one breath. Every curve is by eye and by hand.
Electrodes are fused to each end and a small tubulation added. The tube must be air-tight before it will ever hold a colour.
High voltage drives out impurities and the last air; then the tube is dosed with pure neon or argon at low pressure and sealed off.
Lit and aged on the rack for hours until the colour settles even and true. Only then does it go to the wall.
Shopfronts, scripts, portraits — bent, gassed and lit by hand.

We bend, pump and light real neon by hand — for shopfronts, studios and private commissions. Every tube is soda-lime glass, filled with pure noble gas and burned in until the colour is right. We make few signs a year, and we never fake the glow with LED.
Tell us the words or the shape, the colour, the wall — we will send a bend pattern and a price.
